DEI LAVORI BEACH
Spiaggia dei Lavori(literally, “Worksite beach”) housed one of the first quarries used for the extraction of Conero white stone. In fact, this beach is also referred as “Cava Davanzali” (literally, “Davanzali’s quarry”), after the name of the quarry owner (Cesare Davanzali, 1895-1958). As evidence of this, the beach features a few ruins as well as the old cart rails that reach the pier.
Spiaggia dei lavori can only be reached by sea:
- – by ferry boats in the summer season from Spiaggia San Michele in Sirolo, Port of Numana and Marcelli of Numana.
- – by canoes, kayaks, SUPs and other small vessels that can be rented by any beach establishment at Spiaggia Urbani and San Michele-Sassi Neri in Sirolo.
PLEASE NOTE: ACCESS TO SPIAGGIA DEI LAVORI VIA PASSO DEL LUPO TRAIL IS PROHIBITED.
