CONERO NATURE PARK
Established in 1987, Conero Nature Park covers 6,011 hectares between the municipalities of Ancona, Camerano, Numana, and Sirolo – Marche Region.
Reaching up to 572 mt above sea level with its impressive limestone cliffs, the very Conero promontory represents the core of Conero Park. Here is where significant geological phenomena, as well as sea and wind erosion, have carved and shaped the coast, resulting in white-pebbled coves, gulfs, and beaches.
Thanks to the geological and geomorphological characteristics of multiple habitats, together with a massive wildlife heritage, the protected area represents an environmental oasis. Specifically, the Conero reserve is vital for the survival of certain endangered wildlife species.
