Conero Nature Park is regarded as the second most important Italian site for the spring migration of birds of prey towards European nesting areas. Between April and May, visitors may be able to spot over 1,000 birds of prey every day. The hotspots are located at Pian Grande, Belvedere Nord and Gradina del Poggio.

Two more lookout points are located at the brackish water lakes of Portonovo bay, from where it is possible to spot water and reeds birds.
