MARINE ENVIRONMENT
Conero Nature Park
The rocky composition of the shallow seabed in this area constitutes an ideal substrate for the proliferation of marine life starting with a complex algal community. Thanks to a variety of unique habitats, this stretch of Adriatic coast hosts an impressive number of rare species among fishes, nudibranchs, sea sponges, mussels (locally referred as “moscioli” and protected by the Slow Food presidium) and crustaceans.
